The service will be managed by Amat, which in collaboration with TMR will bring bicycles in the city in the second half of October and will take care of the dislocation throughout the city. The places where you can rent and return the bike have been defined these days: they will be over 30 and will host all from 10 to 20 bikes. It has been announced that, in order to avoid theft and damage, each bicycle will be equipped with a GPS locator.
Thanks to this initiative, Palermo will directly occupy the third position among the Italian cities that offer the largest bike-sharing service. Meanwhile in the city, the works of making it safe, maintenance and realization of the cycle tracks of the center have started, interventions already announced at the beginning of the year.
